Ellen Eyre
Architectural Assistant

Ellen joined the practice in June 2024 as a degree apprentice while pursuing her Master’s in Architecture part-time at Northumbria University.

During her studies in Sheffield and Newcastle, Ellen developed a keen interest in participation and user experience. She is passionate about community engagement in architecture, with her current thesis focusing on grassroots-led design and community involvement in design groups.

Her previous experience as a Part 1 Architect included working across various sectors, from concept planning to developing design strategies for both public clients and private developers. At S+SA Architects, Ellen aims to further hone these skills and work towards her Part II qualification.

Outside of work, Ellen enjoys spending time outdoors, especially along the coast, and loves exploring new places and traveling.
