Team Summer Social 2026: Exploring the Lake District
Last Friday, our team headed to the Lake District for this year’s summer social, enjoying a weekend of learning, adventure and quality time together outside of the office.
Our first stop was the RIBA Award-winning Windermere Jetty Museum, located on the shores of Lake Windermere. The museum celebrates the region’s rich industrial and engineering heritage, and we were fortunate to enjoy a tour along with a fascinating talk about the conservation of its heritage boats.
Following a delicious lunch, we took to the water aboard the heritage boats, dating back to 1902, giving us a unique opportunity to experience Windermere from the lake itself.
Later in the day, the team enjoyed some free time before heading into Ambleside for an evening meal and the chance to sample some of the town’s local pubs.
Saturday morning greeted us with rain, but that wasn’t enough to deter us from making the most of the stunning surroundings. We set off on a team walk to Wansfell Pike, passing the impressive Stock Ghyll Force waterfall along the way. While challenging in places, the route was well worth the effort, rewarding us with beautiful scenery and a real sense of achievement.
The weekend was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen relationships, connect with colleagues outside of a work setting and enjoy some well-earned downtime together. As a B Corp, we believe that investing in our people is just as important as investing in our business, and events like our summer social play an important role in building a positive, supportive and collaborative culture.
