Project Overview

Project: Adswood Lodge, Stockport
Client: Exemplar Health Care
Cost: £6m
Status: Completed

Adswood Lodge in Stockport is a specialist care facility which was built on the grounds of a former public house which had fallen into disrepair. Part of the town’s history, the planning conditions stated the front of the building was to be kept. We worked closely with the client and the planning officer to ensure the development met the correct requirements but also provided the best possible use of space for the end users and staff.

The home now offers specialist care for adults living with complex mental health needs and neuro-disabilities including Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Spread across three units to home features communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub, sensory room, a beauty salon and a large accessible garden.
