Delivering social value: 2023 report
In 2023, our dedication to social value initiatives saw significant growth, and we are pleased to share our first social value report. Throughout the year, we committed ourselves to achieving environmental goals, making a tangible impact on the community and supporting charitable causes. Notable achievements include earning Planet Mark certification and obtaining ISO 14001 accreditation, emphasizing our steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability.
In addition to our environmental efforts, we successfully raised over £3500 for the Leeds Hospitals Trust, making a meaningful contribution to local healthcare. Furthermore, we actively engaged with the next generation of architects, providing educational and employment opportunities to aspiring professionals.
Our practice-wide commitments extend into 2024 as we aim to amplify our efforts across all four of our focus areas. Our objectives are articulated within the following four areas.
Next generation – Engage with and inspire the next generation of architects and provide education and employment opportunities.
Environmental impact – Continue to reduce our environmental impact and influence sustainable design solutions.
Health and wellbeing – Enhance staff wellbeing and mental health initiatives.
Charitable giving & volunteering – Support local community projects and use the business as a force for good by fundraising for charitable causes.
These objectives reflect our ongoing commitment to making a meaningful difference through the work we do and spaces we design.
