Celebrating 10 Years: A Team Trip to Lisbon
This year marks a special milestone for our practice: 10 years in business. To celebrate the event, we packed our bags and headed off for a team trip to Lisbon. And what a celebration it was!
Why Lisbon?
Lisbon turned out to be the ideal city break, a vibrant blend of historic charm and contemporary flair. With its rich culture, stunning architecture, sunny weather, and amazing food, it made for an unforgettable team getaway.
Friday: Arrival & First Impressions
We arrived on Friday just in time for a leisurely afternoon exploring the area around our hotel. That evening, we gathered for a traditional Portuguese meal, a delicious introduction to the local cuisine. After dinner, a relaxed stroll and a nightcap rounded off our first night in the city.
Saturday: Exploring in Style
Saturday was our big day of exploring. We split into three groups based on our preferred pace and interests. Some of us cruised down the river, others set off on foot with a local guide, and the rest took a guided tuk tuk tour.

Belém Tower
Castelo de São Jorge
Monument to the Discoveries
Praça do Comércio
Time Out Market
Lisbon Cathedral
Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT)
…and many more stunning sites along the way.
Of course, no trip to Lisbon would be complete without sampling the local flavours — from pastéis de nata to local beers and wine, we made sure to fully embrace Portuguese cuisine.
Saturday Night: Rooftop Celebrations
The highlight of the trip was our main celebration on Saturday evening. We gathered at a rooftop bar overlooking the city, with views of the castle glowing in the distance. Our director, Joel, said a few words reflecting on our journey so far and what the future might hold.
With a live singer setting the tone and the city lights around us, the evening quickly turned into a rooftop party — full of laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments.
Sunday: Farewell for Now
Sunday morning came with a few sore heads, but we squeezed in a bit more sightseeing before heading to the airport. It was the perfect end to a truly memorable weekend.
Looking Back, Looking Forward
This trip wasn’t just about marking 10 years, it was about strengthening the connections that make our practice what it is. We returned with wonderful memories, renewed energy, and excitement for what’s next.
