The Commission

We were engaged for interior design services including a full strip out, internal alterations and a refurbishment internally. The current layout and finishes of the building were not fit for purpose and outdated. Our proposal looked at modern office layouts and finishes to create an open place with a modern industrial aesthetic. This was achieved by uncovering the concrete ceiling and leaving exposed the steel conduit, ducting and cable trays, providing additional height within the space.

Our Input

RIBA stage 0-6 – our input was from inception through to completion on site providing a contract administrator and project management role throughout the contract period.

Our Value

The initial tender process returned tenders much higher than expected resulting in the need for substantial value engineering, through a combination of retendering with alternative contractors and reduction in specification we reduced the costs by circa 80k without loss of quality in the finished project.

Our design input has modernised the current office to provide a usable space which will enable the occupants to work collaboratively, whilst still allowing private breakout spaces to ensure a comfortable working environment.
