S+SA Architects is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified
In our continuous effort for operational excellence combined with environmental impact consideration and management, we’re delighted to share that S+SA Architects has been successfully certified as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 compliant.
After many years of operating a Quality Management System to maintain and continually improve our performance, we were due a full recertification visit by NQA. Following the audit we received the fantastic news that we continue to be ISO 9001 certificated.
What is the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard?
ISO 9001 is defined as the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and provides the basis for effective processes and people to deliver a high-quality service time after time. By having standards in place we ensure operational efficiency, time saving, and have the processes in place for continual improvement.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management
With ISO 9001 already in place we set a goal to become ISO 14001 certificated. The aim of this is to improve our environmental performance as a practice by effectively managing our energy resources and waste streams and looking at how we can positively impact the future of the built environment.
Earlier this year we became a PlanetMark certified business which means we monitor, measure, and set objectives to reduce our environmental impact. We introduced an Environmental Management System into our practice operations and following a full audit of this, we achieved the ISO 14001 certification.
What is the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard?
ISO 14001 is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. This helps organisations to improve their environmental performance, protecting the environment as well as meeting legal obligations. By having this standard in place we ensure we consider the environmental impact in all activities undertaken and show our commitment to the protection of our environment for future generations.
