“The Architects had a consistent approach, reactive response, and an appetite to develop ideas in working with the yes-can-do attitude”.
Steve Kilday, Senior Project Manager – RVI Capital Works, RVI Estates Department, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals.
“S+SA Architects were proactive in undertaking their role as Architect, Lead Design Consultant and BIM Co-ordinator, positively contributing to the co-ordination of the Design Team and associated key design issues. They were central to, and acted as, the main conduit between the Trust’s Client representative and the numerous Key Stakeholders involved, resulting in a participative and consultative design process, benefitting the Project as a whole”.

Project Managers on the Brighton Grove project.
As part of an exciting new venture between the NHS and Newcastle University, a new research campus is to be developed on the site of the old Newcastle General Hospital.
As a key part of this campus, the Brighton Grove Centre is to be developed as a base for the majority of Community Health Services in the local area.
The new centre will provide over 65,000 sq ft of mixed accommodation and features a ground floor ‘Health Mall’ off which the many health services will be provided.
Additionally an NHS walk-in centre is planned along with a Food & Nutrition Centre, Diabetic Centre and Community Paediatrics to name just a few.
At the CIOB Committed to Excellence in Construction in West Yorkshire Awards 2013 the company won the “Committed to Collaborative Working” prize for our work on this project.
